ITEC DIPLOMA COMBINATION COURSE (Beauty Specialist & Massage Therapy)
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
The main aim of the ITEC Level 2 Diploma for Beauty Specialists is to enable Learners to gain the necessary practical and theoretical skills in order to provide Beauty Specialist treatments to the general public and to gain employment in the Beauty Therapy Industry. This qualification is suitable for Learners aged 16 and over and is designed to provide occupational competence at Level 2. It also provides a sound platform into further training at Level 3. The main aim of the ITEC Level 3 Diploma in Massage Therapies is to enable Learners to gain the necessary practical and theoretical skills in order to provide Massage Therapies to the general public and to gain employment in the Spa or Beauty Therapy Industry. This qualification is suitable for Learners aged 16 and over and is designed to provide occupational competence at Level 3. It also provides a sound platform into further training at Level 3 and 4.
WHY CHOOSE THE ITEC LEVEL 2 DIPLOMA FOR BEAUTY SPECIALISTS?
This Qualification combines the full range of skills and knowledge for the Learner seeking employment or self-employment as a Beauty Specialist at Level 2. This qualification enables the Learner to become multi-skilled which is required for employment in Industry. These Qualification is listed in the Ofqual Register of Qualifications. This Qualification contains all the skills and knowledge required for employability at Level 2. This Qualification combines the full range of skills and knowledge for the Learner seeking employment or self-employment as a Massage Therapist at Level 3. There are other ITEC Diplomas and smaller Awards and Certificates in Massage at Level 3; how-ever they only cover classical massage. This qualification covers several types of massage including classical massage and therefore enables the Learner to become multi-skilled enabling them to perform a variety of Massage treatments ready for employment in Industry. This Qualification contains all the skills and knowledge required for employability at Level 3. Learners may progress on to qualifications at Level 4 such as the ITEC Level 4 Diploma in Advanced Skincare and the ITEC Level 4 Diploma in Spa and Salon Management. This qualification does not form part of an Apprenticeship. This qualification is recognised by all relevant professional bodies within the Spa or Beauty Therapy Industry for membership and insurance purposes at Level 3
REQUIREMENTS FOR UNDERTAKING THIS QUALIFICATION
Grade 9 onwards. Exemptions may be made for adult returners with experience of the workplace.
