The Special Effects Makeup course at SMT Training Center provides learners with professional training in creating realistic and dramatic makeup effects for film, theater, and events. The program covers prosthetics, wound simulation, aging effects, bruising, and character transformation techniques, along with hygiene and safety practices. Students gain hands-on experience in designing and applying special effects makeup to achieve high-impact, professional results. Upon completion, learners will be equipped to offer special effects makeup services in studios, productions, or as freelance artists.

What You Learn:

In Special effects (SFX) makeup, you learn to create realistic illusions and characters for film, TV, and theatre by applying makeup, prosthetics, and other materials to simulate injuries, diseases, aging, monsters or fantasy beings. Core skills include applying bald caps and wigs, creating realistic injuries like cuts and bullet wounds, sculpturing prosthetics, using advanced techniques for texture and detail, and understanding colour theory and skin health to ensure safety and convincing results.
