Aims and Objectives
The VTCT (ITEC) Level 3 Diploma in Barbering is a higher-level qualification that provides the learner with the knowledge, understanding and skills to work creatively as an employed and/or self-employed barber. This qualification is most suitable for those learners who wish to become a senior barber. The qualification builds on existing knowledge and understanding of barbering and develops more creative and advanced technical skills necessary for employment. It rewards learner’s individual abilities both in practical and theory with a graded outcome
PROGRESSION
Learners who achieve this qualification can work as a senior barber. Learners could work in a variety of different sectors, which might include junior barber/men’s stylist, learners could work in a variety of different sectors, which might include:
Commercial barbershop
Senior barber/manager
Independent/self-employed/mobile/home-based barbershop settings
Product manufacturing
Training/teaching within private centres/colleges
Cruise liners
PRE-REQUISITE ENTRY REQIREMENTS
It is recommended that learners should hold a Level 2 Diploma in Barbering or equivalent qualification. It is the responsibility of the centre to ensure that learners have the required knowledge, understanding and skills to enroll and successfully achieve this qualification.
